Our mission is very clear and very simple. Our primary goal is to facilitate transparency in our government. We want all our elected officials to be held accountable for their actions. Information has always been power, so we've decided to bring the power back to the people. We're hard at work digging up our officials' voting records, and we'd like to keep this data archived for all of you. If anyone has a question about a decision one of our law makers made on our behalf, we want have that information readily available. Also, by making readily available all means of communication to our officials, we've hopefully reigned them in a bit. We'd like to think government corruption will now be a thing of the past (we're not naive, though), and we feel our website can help make that happen.
Our secondary goal, one we feel is just as important, is the encouragement to communicate with your elected officials. We cannot stress this enough! Even if it's a simple letter to know you didn't appreciate a comment they made in the recent press, it all makes a difference. They need to know that they are being watched and held accountable for their actions. When they spend money on government programs, they are spending OUR money. We worked hard for that money. We put in long hours for that money. It's only fair that they be diligent those resources. They answer to us, and we cannot let them forget!
