FreedomSpeaks Partners with YOUnited Foundation's 2008 Donkaphant Film Festival
Los Angeles, CA (October 14, 2008) – FREEDOMSPEAKS.COM, the world’s first non-partisan online political community, announced today their partnership with YOUnited Foundation's upcoming Donkaphant Film festival this October 29th at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA. Come join us along with politicians and celebrities as we premiere short films created to encourage social and political activism. We'll also be trying to spread the word on the YOUnited Foundation's mission to "Beat 1960" (a reference to 1960's record voter turnout for the presidential election).
Hosted by Nancy Cartwright, the iconic voice of Bart Simpson, the Donkaphant film festival will be showing on Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets are $40 until Wednesday, the 22nd. After that, tickets are $50. Students or members of the armed forces are especially welcome and can RSVP at tickets@younitedfoundation.org. Student and members of the armed forces can also get their tickets for half price if they bring their voter registration card. You must RSVP though! Both the Obama and McCain campaigns will have tables with representative available to answer any questions you may have for the candidates. FreedomSpeaks will also have a table; we'll have internet access available and we'll be giving away t-shirts and other cool swag.
